On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a AML Transaction Monitoring Business Analyst for a 6 month contract based in London (hybrid - 2/3 days in the office).
Purpose of the Role:
The AML Surveillance Team is specifically responsible for ensuring that the London business implements and maintains a compliant and effective systems and control framework for AML Transaction Monitoring and Name Screening covering Global Markets, Capital Markets, Correspondent Banking and BP2S. You will be supporting the line manager, Head of Financial Security AML Surveillance and working closely with established AML Surveillance Team based in London.
Responsibilities of the role:
As a AML Transaction Monitoring Business Analyst you will be responsible for:
- Leading and/or supporting the delivery of projects evaluating and improving the AML Surveillance (or Transaction Monitoring) framework.
- Identifying and securing time with and obtaining information from a range of stakeholders.
- Structuring work streams and delivery plans.
- Performing and documenting analysis and findings, including identification of issues and suggestions of enhancements.
- Designing and delivering a range of artefacts to a high standard, adapting to feedback, and obtaining sign-off.
- The identification, analysis, reporting and tracking of risks and issues.
- Status reporting.
What we require from the candidate:
- Working in a financial crime prevention environment (must have).
- Working with AML Transaction Monitoring systems.
- The functionality of AML applications, scenarios, thresholds, and other configuration, and of the common challenges with implementing and maintaining effective systems.
- Technology governance, change and management.
- AML data - its sources, lineage, governance, and controls.
- An ability to handle and interpret AML data (ie, spreadsheets, Power BI).
