Randstad Education is currently in search of a qualified and enthusiastic History Teacher to join our dedicated team and contribute to a school situated in Wigan. The chosen candidate will be tasked with planning, delivering, and evaluating History lessons for secondary school students in alignment with the UK National Curriculum. The ideal applicant should exhibit a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, emphasising the inspiration of a passion for history and the development of critical thinking skills among students.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Devise and deliver high-quality, captivating History lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum, addressing the diverse learning needs of secondary school students.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging student participation, critical thinking, and historical inquiry.
- Implement effective classroom management strategies to establish a conducive learning atmosphere, prioritising student's safety and well-being.
- Employ various teaching methods and resources, including technology, to enrich the learning experience and accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Develop and implement assessments to gauge student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the evolution of the History curriculum, actively participate in school events, and engage in continuous professional development.
- Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and collaborative school community.
Remuneration: 140.00 - 220.00
