Job description


A well known business based in east Leeds are looking to appoint an Interim Project Accountant to support them with an urgent project surrounding cash flow and an impending system upgrade/change on the horizon. This is a great opportunity to join a fast paced business and to really make an impact on how the business is running. This assignment will last for approximately 6 months.

As the interim project accountant your role will include the following duties:

  • Relieve the FD of cash flow responsibilities and all ancillary reporting and controls
  • Implement robust cash flow forecasting and improve all current processes in place
  • Investigate the current accounting system in place and make suggestions on how it could be improved and implement the changes with IT and the FD
  • If a brand new system implementation is necessary, then advise on what systems could be successful within the business

Requirements:

  • Strong cash flow forecasting experience
  • A qualified or qualified by experience accountant
  • Experience in embedding/upgrading a finance system or the appetite and skill set to navigate through one
