Crem Recruitment has been appointed to recruit for an exciting start up business to facilitate the next stage of their progress in designing cutting edge materials that could change the world.

Our client is looking to recruit a Manufacturing Engineer to work at their new R&D facility in Royston (SG8) responsible for the design and build of their new machinery.

Duties

• Working closely with design engineers to create and build new, manual machinery with a view to a long term automated production line.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities within existing test machines.
• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs or rework in a timely fashion.
• Working closely with the production and lab team to ensure that processes are fully understood and translated mechanically.
• Operating as the go to for questions and queries.
• Maintaining good housekeeping and reporting near misses/unsafe activity.
  
  

Pay rate:

35,000 - 50,000 p/a working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week.

Personal Specification

Applicants must be able to demonstrate significant previous experience in a Production, Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering environment having worked as a Production / Mechanical Engineer able to diagnose and resolve faults, build from scratch, and rework / repurpose existing machinery.

• Be flexible on your approach.
• As happy building as tearing down.
• Have experience working within an idea led business.
• Experience in a start up environment is advantageous
• Able to communicate at all levels of the business.
• Be reliable and trustworthy.
• Excellent attention to detail.
