Role Overview:

My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Data Architect to join them on a contract basis. As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the data architecture for the clients migration to Databricks. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern Azure Technologies including Databricks architecture, a vast proficiency in Medallion Data Architecture, and be well-versed in Azure Delta Lake within Databricks and Python Scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture Design: Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data architecture solutions based on business requirements, utilizing modern Azure Technologies as well as Databricks.
• Data Modeling: Design and implement data models, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability, with a focus on Medallion Data structuring principles.
• Data Governance: Implementing gold, silver & bronze layers into the Data Warehouse to allow certain business users to have access to data
• Database Management: Manage and optimize databases for performance, security, and scalability, leveraging your expertise in Azure and Databricks architecture.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Data Architect.
• In-depth knowledge of data modelling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Databricks, and proficiency in Medallion Data structuring.
• Strong understanding of Azure Delta Lake in Databricks and Python Scripting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
