We are seeking an Editor with expertise in the editorial process for systematic reviews within the scientific field, along with a strong understanding of research integrity and publication ethics. Our client, a highly esteemed provider of evidence-based content for healthcare professionals worldwide, and they require a fixed-term Executive Editor to provide cover for 4 to 6 months, to fill a gap within their team and support the interim Head of Editorial in managing editorial activities for their content library.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acting as a deputy for the Head of Editorial as necessary, supervising the editorial team to uphold the expected quality standards for published content
• Establishing and maintaining robust quality assurance processes for various review types handled by the Editorial Service
• Overseeing the operational aspects of editorial systems and processes for submissions to the Editorial Service, including coordinating quality assurance and peer-review procedures with the editorial team

The ideal candidate should possess experience in providing technical editing for systematic reviews, coupled with a background in a scientific field or relevant practical experience. They must demonstrate confidence in assuming team leadership responsibilities and familiarity with best editorial practices in scholarly research.
