My client is a leading 50 million contractor in the construction industry, specialising in heavy civil engineering projects. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer with a strong background in Heavy Civils to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Deep Drainage: Manage and oversee deep drainage projects, ensuring the successful delivery of all aspects related to drainage systems. This includes planning, installation, and quality control.
RC Structures: Take a lead role in the construction of Reinforced Concrete (RC) Structures. Coordinate with the project team to ensure the timely and accurate execution of structural elements.
Earthworks: Oversee and manage earthworks activities, including excavation and grading operations. Ensure compliance with project specifications and health and safety standards.
Surveying and Setting Out: Utilize surveying equipment to accurately set out works and monitor construction progress. Provide necessary guidance to the project team to maintain precision in construction.
Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance procedures to guarantee that works are carried out to the highest standards. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications.
Health and Safety: Prioritize and enforce health and safety protocols on-site. Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks, creating a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience working on heavy civil engineering projects, particularly within a 50 million+ contractor.
- In-depth knowledge and expertise in deep drainage, RC structures, and earthworks.
- Proficient in surveying equipment and setting out techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
