As a Senior Software Developer you will work in a small team of domain experts to expand an existing Azure application. You will work with others within the project including the Agile Delivery Lead, Product Owners, internal and external Subject Matter Experts, and other stakeholders to establish an optimal solution which meets requirements, adheres to technical strategy/constraints and considers total cost of ownership.

Role Deliverables:

• Feature delivery and data delivery in line with established team practices and specialist area taking full ownership of the complex nature of tech development problems in full support of the development teams specifically.
• Finding accurate estimations, delivery forecasts, and risk assessments to ensure that iterations are delivered to committed timelines and quality that meet expectations and programme deliveries.
• Create technical materials that support the governance processes such as technical notes, user guide for internal and external circulation, solution design, structure, story boards, and change reviews.
• Provide development expertise and insight to support the effective evaluation of new technologies that may be required for the project and be a subject matter expert in regard to new ways of working and new technologies that emerge.
• Diagnosing and fixing issues in accordance with agreed developer operations practices already established and in place.

Key Knowledge/Skills

• Expertise in developing, supporting, and maintaining data-centric, highly complex and calculation heavy Azure end-user web applications used by internal and external subject matter experts
• Expertise in developing, supporting, and maintaining primarily Microsoft Azure based API's serving a wide range of large-scale, high performance, transactional systems
• Expertise in Azure development, DevOps, and deployment methodologies and tools
• Demonstrable experience of proactive delivery of business critical, high profile, systems with tight, rapid, iterations
• Demonstrable experience of outstanding team work and excellent collaboration with a wide range of delivery teams
